- Julia Steinecke writes about independent travel to destinations as diverse as Slovenia, Uruguay and Laos. Her writing has appeared in the Toronto Star, Canadian Geographic and Verge Magazine (which she edited for two years). Julia Steinecke is a recipient of the National Magazine Award and three Ontario Arts Council grants. She leads writing and travel workshops in Canada, the U.S. and Cuba.
